Exponent II is a Mormon feminist organization that began during the height of the second wave feminist movement in the 1970s and was named for a Mormon suffragist newspaper from the 1800s. Today, third wave feminists with a connection to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS, Mormon) continue the feminist tradition of their foremothers, gathering at annual Exponent II retreats and sharing Mormon women’s voices through Exponent II magazine and blog.
April Young Bennett has been a writer for the Exponent since 2011 and has also served the organization as a member of its Board.
